Which club has been the best to play in?

Falkenberg, it was a totally different environment, it is the biggest step i have took and the biggest difference, when I moved here from Falköping. Abroad? - Nemer, it was cozy, intimate. We had great success. I was there five years and we became French champion three times and finished second twice. It was the first time the club became French champions. It was a small town, but 1000-1500 people in the stands.

How and when did you get in at tabletennis?

It was much tabletennis on TV when I was little, Stellan bengtsson, Kjell Johansson ... Where i lived was just football, but in Falköping some distance away was a table tennis club. Me and my brother started to play there, we had played a lot at home, so I was pretty good. I was 7-8 years

In World Championships Peter has won:
Gold in the team -89, -91, -93 and 2000

In singles, the best i have come is to the quarterfinals -95 and -05

European Championships Peter has won:
Gold in the team -90, -92, -96 and 2000
Gold in singles in 2000
Bronze in singles -96
Bronze in double -90, -92
Top-12, I have come second, three times
Best world ranking 4th, -94.

Who is the best player you have met?

JO Waldner, he is the best player I ever met.

Funniest tabletennis memory.

After a bit of reflection came the reply. - World Championship gold in doubles with Von Scheele. We won quite suprising. I have many fun memories. It's fun to win with someone, you can share the joy with someone else. In retrospect, it is fun to have won individual gold, table tennis is still an individual sport. World Championship gold in the team in Malaysia was also fun .. but I can say all the matches we played in championships

Most boring tennis memory.

They i have forgotten.

What is your perception of me in the league (pingisligan)? You think I did my best? (question from Omar Assar)

I did not see Omar on the track away against Spårvägen, but I saw two games in Falkenberg. Omar handled the situation brilliantly mature way. Impressed with the way he carried out the games on. The grade becomes highest scores.

What do you think about the other players? they are satisfied with my training and matches, or not (question from Omar Assar)

Everyone is very happy with your energy and intensity.

What do you expect from me this year, and in the future. What are your dreams for me (Question from Omar Assar)

I see Omar as a potential world player when? - In about ten years. He must be able to listen, be patient, deal with successes and setbacks, improved physics, continue to work on small technical details.

How did you work on the ITTF? Tell us what it is all about? How long?

I know Micke Andersson, ITTF. I did some camps (abroad) to them when I was an active player, and it was fun. They thought I was good. I think it is good that I've been a table tennis player, and i have a name. When you get a chance, it is important to show that you are worth it. I have a unique contract, it is a collaboration with me, ITTF and Falkenbergs BTK. Players may come and get a great training in the club. I have a contract until May 2011, ITTF only write two-year contracts, we will see what happens next. But this has been good for me, the players and the club, good for all.

Who are you responsible for?

Omar Assar, plus a few others who ITTF decides. There are young players who get a scholarship, to be stimulated in their development. The trainingcamps are here in Falkenberg, sixty days / year.

Who among them do you most in?

Omar Assar.

And you also work for STAG, can you tell me more?

It is an Indian tabletennis business. They have not exported as much before. It is a well known name in India, 1/3 is table tennis in the company. Stag has a collaboration with the ITTF. I wrote a ten-year contract with stag, it extends until 2016. I'm going to the Junior World Championships in Colombia in December. I'm going there for Stag, talk to people about the product, but also about how you practice table tennis.

Do you have any reflections about the Swedish team? Have you got any questions?

They have contact me. But you got to choose way, a good way. Right now it suits me fine, as i do now. It is time that is not enough and there will be many days of travel. I'm old as a player but as a coach i am new.

How is it going for the Falkenberg in pingisligan this year?

So far, it is fantastic. It has looked good in the training for a long time now. All have advanced, matured. If you know what to do in training, is higher quality, for both, coaches and players. We are in a positive trend, we continue as we do, it may go very good. Focus on what you're doing and not on results.

How keen were you to play, before you jump in and play against Eslöv?

I was extremely hungry, I'm maybe not played so good. Hope there be more appearances.

How long contract have you with FBTK? Should you renew?

Do i have a contract? I have an arrangement with the close to Karlsson to May 2010. We'll see what happens. I like it very well with the situation as it is.

Do you have an eye on the others Falkenberg teams?

No, not much. Have not had the time, it is limited. I watch beginner training (Linus played there) .

Do you have something to add.

The future looks interesting-new hall, more tables, more players

Who do you think will be the January profile?

It would be interesting to hear what Bosse Persson have to say.

It was difficult to get an appointment for the interview that suited both of us, but December 3rd we met at the Grand Hotel and ate lunch. It is not easy to catch to eat, write and speak simultaneously. Sorry for me that I have not had time to eat pancakes. I thank Peter Karlsson because he took time to meet me for this interview , which took just over an hour. And thanx to google translate.
